Sauti za Busara (Sounds of Wisdom) Is a big East African Musical Festival that brings in celebration of the wealth and diversity of music and culture. It showcases talent from every corner of Africa and the rest of the world every February in one of the monumental locations, the Old Fort. It is a three-to-four-day festival, and although it is an hour’s drive from our property, you get to experience street parades, carnivals, and over 400 artists and musicians who participate and bring dynamic performances. A professional guide can be organized for those who wish to tour around with a local for more comfort.

Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF)
If you miss the musical festival, you can participate in the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) which takes place at the end of June this year for nine days. It too celebrates the talent of art and culture showcased in the form of visual representation. Not only does it exhibit films made in Africa, but recognizes the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, and Asia as well. Apart from watching large-scale outdoor films in the Old Fort, there are music performances from renowned artists, educational workshops, art exhibitions, and galas to name a few.
Soundscale Festival - Deep House and Techno
If you are for the classy mix of deep house and techno, Soundscapes Festival is just the right vibe check. Just a 20min drive from our property, this festival brings in fresh artists from all over the world including Baloo (SA), Sonja Mooner, and Andrey Pushkarev pumping in adrenaline to last the long nights of making memories. The festival takes place in Bwejuu for six days and tickets are bought online on their website. Transfers can be arranged for logistical purposes.
Zanzibar Wedding Festival
Another interesting festival to participate in which takes place every December is the Zanzibar Wedding Festival. This festival aims to give upcoming fashion designers, event planners, and make-up artists a platform to showcase their authentic work as well as boast why Zanzibar is the ideal wedding destination. Apart from demonstrating talent, this expo provides an opportunity to learn new trades, and tips on how to provide the best dream wedding.
